The Vermont Community Foundation focuses on encouraging philanthropy and working with charitable partners to meet basic human needs and to ensure that Vermont communities are successful and sustainable. It is a statewide foundation and oversees over $128 million in assets.
FSG helped The Vermont Community Foundation to:
- Better understand the costs it incurs to provide products and services to donors, and through these insights to chart a strategy for both greater impact and enhanced economic sustainability
- Conduct significant research with donors and community leaders to determine the priorities for the Foundation's role in Vermont and as a result developed a community leadership approach. Based on FSG’s financial analysis and stakeholder research, FSG helped VCF to develop a new approach to fund base operations (e.g. fund and grant administration) as well as new initiatives
