The David and Lucile Packard Foundation invests in and takes smart risks with innovative people and organizations to improve the lives of children, enable creative pursuit of science, advance reproductive health, and conserve and restore earth's natural systems.

FSG has helped the Foundation to:

• Develop a comprehensive strategy for a $20 million annual grant program aimed at strengthening the nonprofit sector and promoting more effective philanthropic practices
• Review it’s past grantmaking activities, interviewing other funders and grantees to identify opportunities for leveraged interventions, and developing a unique positioning to maximize the Foundation's impact
• Outline a detailed annual evaluation plan and research more than fifty potential grantees to set a realistic budget and identify a preliminary set of initiatives to be funded
