Pfizer

As the world's largest biomedical research and pharmaceutical company, Pfizer sees its corporate responsibility beginning with its roles as a developer and responsible manufacturer of medicines, a disseminator of health information, and a participant in public health programs. The company complements these activities by working to increase access to medicines and to help create and implement sustainable health care solutions.

FSG has helped Pfizer and the Pfizer Foundation to:

  • Develop a framework for effective pharmaceutical philanthropy based on benchmarking of competitors
  • Identify strategies to strengthen its engagement with critical multilateral organizations
  • Determine the promise of an antimalarial drug based on interviews with leading scientists and a review of the current state of treatment
  • Increase the alignment of its commercial and social activities in Africa
  • Review its philanthropy portfolio and matching gift program and identify improvements, define new programs, and develop an evaluation framework
Select the best grantees from over 300 applications for its new International HIV/AIDS program. FSG created selection criteria and recommended the top 15 candidates for the new program

"What we discovered about FSG is they bring you more than you come to expect from a consultant. They’re experts and they’re smart and hard working, all of which a client is entitled to expect. But they also bring empathy and flexibility, a sense of proportion and sensitivity to organizational constraints. They produce outstanding work on time and within budget, and they understand that the best consultant is a partner, not just an advice provider. And they deliver it all with a grand sense of humor!"

-Robert Mallett, Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs, Pfizer
