The Academic Alliance Foundation (AAF) is dedicated to fighting infectious disease, in particular HIV/AIDS, through capacity building of doctors and other health care providers throughout Africa.
FSG has helped the Academic Alliance Foundation and its collaboration partner, the Infectious Diseases Institute in Kampala, Uganda, to:
- Develop a five-year strategic plan to focus their combined health care capacity-building activities around measurable impact goals and to develop a sustainable resource development plan
- Assess the donor and competitive landscape and to identify strategic focus areas following research, analysis, and numerous interviews with internal and external stakeholders. The planning process resulted in significant organizational clarity on desired program goals, guiding principles, governance mechanisms, and resource development plans
