The Greater New Orleans Foundation

Since 1983, The Greater New Orleans Foundation (GNOF) has been helping donors reach their philanthropic goals by establishing charitable funds.  GNOF’s partners are also making it possible for GNOF to have a major impact on key issues, including community revitalization and housing, education, and workforce development. Today, the Greater New Orleans Foundation holds total assets of $170 million in more than 700 charitable funds and serves donors throughout Southeast Louisiana.

• Develop a five year strategic plan
• Design specific strategies to improve donor reach and engagement with the foundation
• Identify and craft strategies in areas where the foundation will exercise proactive community leadership and hold itself accountable for bringing about change:
  • Affordable Housing
  • K-12 Public Education
  • Workforce Development
• Determine specific actions to take for integrating issues of race and equity into the foundation’s strategic plan
• Establish a plan for sustainability, including development targets
• Evolve staff and board structure to align with goals and objectives
• Develop an evaluation design for the foundation to monitor on-going progress against the strategic plan
