The MasterCard Foundation

The newly-established MasterCard Foundation is an independent, private foundation working to enable financially-excluded people around the world to access the global economy.  By supporting innovative microfinance programs and youth education initiatives, the Foundation will provide families and communities with the resources and technical skills needed to sustain long-term economic stability.

FSG has helped the MasterCard Foundation to:

• Conduct a landscape assessment of private foundation activity in the area of microfinance
• Identify key opportunities and strategic considerations to support selection of high-impact focus areas within microfinance
