Marc Pfitzer


Managing Director

Marc is responsible for FSG's work in Europe, spanning multinational corporations, foundations, NGOs, and public-private partnerships involving government agencies. He manages work including strategic reviews and business planning, issue research leading to action or policy recommendations, initiative implementation, and evaluation. Much of his recent work has focused on the linkages between competitiveness and corporate social engagement, including authoring recent studies on the subject for the government of Denmark and a global corporation. His other areas of engagement and research cover global environmental and health challenges. He has co-authored FSG thought pieces on cross-sector partnerships, corporate foundations, performance measurement for public-private partnerships, and has spoken on these subjects at numerous conferences across Europe.

Prior to joining FSG, Marc served as Manager at the Boston Consulting Group based in Zurich, working on a variety of assignments for both nonprofits and corporations on strategy, organizational design, and change management issues, and continues to facilitate management retreats on these topics for FSG's social sector clients. Prior to BCG and during his studies, he worked with the World Economic Forum.

Marc holds an M.B.A. from the European Institute of Administration (INSEAD-Fontainebleau) and a B.A. cum laude, from Harvard University in Government and History. He speaks English, French, and German.
